Clean-Up Projects
How to organize a clean-up project:
1. Email us! We can help with:
— publicity to find more volunteers
— where to find grabbers, bags, safety vests, gloves
2. Notify your County Commissioner to help you with important safety needs and to schedule the pickup of your collected bags of litter.
3. Please remember to:
— make a list of all volunteers
— count the number of bags of litter you pick up
— take photos and
— share this info with us!
We use the information when we apply for grants and awards for our County!
2017
A volunteer work day at Rancho de las Cabras was held on
Saturday, May 20, 2017
8 a.m. – 12 noon
Volunteers were advised to wear long pants, hat, closed-toed shoes and bring work gloves, bug spray, and a refillable water bottle.
All volunteers completed a volunteer form (download here) and were over age 18.
A 3-minute FILM about the ranching outposts which served the San Antonio missions, including Rancho de las Cabras was shown before the hard work began. See the video here: texasindependencetrail.com/plan-your-adventure/historic-sites-and-cities/sites/rancho-de-las-cabras
